Angelina Esguerra 

Angelina Esguerra is a Journalism major in her final semester at LaGuardia Community College. She serves as the president of The Bridge, the college’s recently revived student newspaper, where she helps lead and support student storytelling on campus. She has a passion for fashion and creativity. She hopes to launch a faith-based clothing brand and start her own podcast channel in the near future.

Asia-Marie Charles

Asia-Marie Charles an international student from Trinidad and Tobago majoring in Journalism. She serves as the secretary for The Bridge Newspaper Club. She has a passion for all forms of art whether it be literature, film or fashion. You can usually find her (not) finishing her crochet projects or, hopefully, relaxing on the beach.

Oliver Fernandez

Oliver Fernandez serves as the treasurer for The Bridge. He enjoys interviewing people and getting to know strangers a little more closely. Outside of journalism, he enjoys reading poetry, watching movies, and listening to the points of view of others.

Atisha Shakya

Atisha Shakya is a Fine Arts major at LaGuardia Community College. She serves as a SAC representative of The Bridge. She handles the club’s web development and graphic design. She has a passion for experiencing new things and building a community.

Arianna Garcia

Arianna García is a Business Administration student at LaGuardia Community College with interests in sales, marketing, digital strategy and entrepreneurship. She has a passion for travel, creativity, and business development. She aspires to build a successful career in marketing while pursuing her long-term goal of creating and growing her own businesses.

Elizabeth Ninaquispe 

Elizabeth Ninaquispe is a sophomore majoring in Paralegal Studies at LaGuardia Community College. She is part of The Bridge Newspaper club as a web developer and copy editor. She hopes to expand her journalism skills while preparing for a future career focused on advocacy and policy.

Amir Timmons

Amir Timmons is graduating from LaGuardia Community College with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, concentrating in Journalism. While he aspires to become a culture writer in editorial, he is most interested in telling stories that are often overlooked. His work explores the people, places, and contradictions that shape communities and define their identities.

Carlos Chauran

Carlos Chauran is a Journalism major originally from Venezuela and is currently in his first semester at LaGuardia Community College. Having lived in New York City for many years, he is interested in institutional affairs and public policy.
